Illinois Football Recruiting: Nebraska Offers Jimmie Swain

2014 outside linebacker Jimmie Swain received an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers on March 2nd. This brings his total number of offers to six.

The other teams to have offered at him include: the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Kansas Jayhawks, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, and the Missouri Tigers.

Also, he has not received an offer, but is receiving interest from the Michigan State Spartans.

Swain is a 6’2″, 210 pound outside linebacker from Lees Summit, Missouri. He is currently a junior at Lee’s Summit Senior High School.

The Lee’s Summit Tigers made it to the Class 6 Missouri State Playoffs. However, they lost to Rockhurst High School, 37-7, in the first round.

Swain is being recruited by LeVar Woods of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is scheduled to attend the Junior Day that will be hosted by Illinois on March 9th.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 7th in the state of Missouri and 43rd among outside linebackers by 247Sports.
