2014 safety Darius West received offers from the Missouri Tigers, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on March 3rd and March 4th. This brings his total number of offers to sixteen.
The other teams to have offered at him include: Kentucky, Akron, Bowling Green, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Penn State, Purdue, Toledo, and West Virginia.
It is projected that West is heavily interested in the Kentucky Wildcats.
Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from Arkansas, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin.
West is a 6’0″, 195 pound defensive back from Lima, Ohio. He is currently a junior at Lima Central Catholic High School.
Lima Central Catholic made it to the Division V Ohio State Playoffs. However, they lost to Liberty-Benton, 17-24, in the second round.
As a junior, he recorded 47 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 12th in the state of Ohio, 18th among safeties, and 212th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
