Illinois Football Recruiting: Syracuse Offers Colton Moskal


2014 inside linebacker Colton Moskal received an offer from the Syracuse Orange on March 1st. This brings his total number of offers to two.

The only other team to offer at him so far is the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

He has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Duke Blue Devils, the Illinois Fighting Illini, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Moskal is a 6’1″, 215 pound linebacker from Lake Zurich, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Lake Zurich High School.

The Lake Zurich Bears made it to the Class 7A Illinois State Playoffs and made it to the semifinals.

However, they would lose to Glenbard West High School, 13-19.

As a junior in 2012, Moskal recorded 98 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and two safeties.

According to Rivals, Colton Moskal runs a 5.58 40-yard dash, has a bench press max of 315 pounds, has a squat max of 465 pounds, runs a 4.20 20-yard shuttle, and has a vertical jump of 29 inches.

On top of being very strong, Colton Moskal is also very smart. He has a GPA of 3.85.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 34th in the state of Illinois and 43rd among inside linebackers by 247Sports.
