2014 offensive tackle Jamarco Jones received offers from the Oklahoma Sooners, the Florida State Seminoles, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Syracuse Orange, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on March 1st and March 4th. This brings his total number of offers to twenty-eight.
The other teams to have offered at him include: Arkansas, Arizona State, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Tennessee, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wisconsin, and UCLA.
It is projected that Jones is heavily interested in the Florida Gators, the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans, the Northwestern Wildcats, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Oklahoma Sooners, the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Wisconsin Badgers.
Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from Alabama, Boston College, and Oregon.
Jones is a 6’6″, 290 pound from Chicago, Illinois. He played this past season at De La Salle Institute.
De La Salle Institute finished with a record of 4-5 overall and 4th in the Chicago Catholic – White. They did not make the Illinois State Playoffs.
Jones is being recruiting by Tim Davis of Florida, Darrell Funk of Michigan, Dan Roushar of Michigan State, Chuck Martin of Notre Dame, Bill Bedenbaugh of Oklahoma, Mark Hagen of Indiana, Lester Erb of Iowa, and John Garrison of Nebraska.
Jones was named a Second Team All-American by 247Sports on February 10th.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd in the state of Illinois, 4th among offensive tackles, and 47th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
