Illinois Football Recruiting: Purdue and Syracuse Offer Dylan Thompson

2014 strong-side defensive end Dylan Thompson received offers from the Purdue Boilermakers and the Syracuse Orange on February 26th and February 27th. This now brings his total number of offers to six.

The other teams that have offered at him include: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State, and Vanderbilt.

Out of his six offers, it is projected that Thompson is heavily interested in the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Thompson is a 6’5″, 270 pound from Lombard, Illinois.

He is currently a junior at Montini Catholic High School.

Montini Catholic had just a magical season in 2012.

The Broncos won the state championship of the Class 5A Illinois State Playoffs. This state championship became Montini’s fourth straight state championship.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 12th in the state of Illinois and 19th among strong-side defensive ends by 247Sports.

For Illinois, Thompson is being recruited by linebackers coach, Mike Ward.

Thompson has four unofficial visits for the months of March and April. He will visit Ohio State on March 22nd, Michigan State on March 30th, Notre Dame on April 6th, and Wisconsin on April 13th.
