2014 strong-side defensive end Dewayne Hendrix received offers from the Florida Gators and the Nebraska Cornhuskers on February 26th. This brings his total number of offers to thirteen.
The other teams to have offered at him include: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Michigan State, Missouri, Northern Illinois, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Syracuse, South Florida, and Vanderbilt.
Out of his thirteen offers, it is projected that Hendrix is heavily interested in the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Kansas State Wildcats, the Michigan State Spartans, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the Tennessee Volunteers.
Hendrix is a 6’5″, 230 pound defensive end from O’Fallon, Illinois. He is currently a junior at O’Fallon High School.
The O’Fallon Panthers made it to the Class 8A Illinois State Playoffs.
However, Lyons Township defeated O’Fallon in the second round, 42-27.
As a junior in 2012, Hendrix recorded 60 tackles, twelve tackles-for-loss, and four sacks.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 7th in the state of Illinois, 14th among strong-side defensive ends, and 180th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
Hendrix is being recruited by Illinois’ running backs coach, Tim Salem.
