Illinois Football Recruiting: Tennessee Offers Enoch Smith Jr.

2014 defensive tackle Enoch Smith Jr. received an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on February 21st. This brings his total number of offers to twelve.

The other teams to have offered at him include: Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Northern Illinois, Purdue, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

Out of those ten offers, it is projected that Smith is heavily interested in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Smith Jr. is a 6’3″, 270 pound defensive tackle from Chicago, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Mount Carmel High School.

Mount Carmel won the Class 8A Illinois State Championship. They defeated Glenbard North High School, 28-14.

As a junior in 2012, Smith Jr. recorded 41 tackles and 23 tackles-for-loss.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 9th in the state of Illinois and 19th among defensive tackles by 247Sports.
