Illinois Football Recruiting: Stanford Offers Montae Nicholson

2014 defensive back/wide receiver Montae Nicholson received an offer from the Stanford Cardinal on February 6th. This brings his total number of offers to thirteen.

The other teams that have offered at him include: Bowling Green, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple, Texas Tech, Toledo, and West Virginia.

Nicholson is a 6’3″, 200 pound safety from Monroeville, Pennsylvania. He is currently a junior at Gateway High School.

The Gateway Gators finished the season with an overall record of 9-2 and a league record of 8-0.

As a defensive back, Nicholson recorded 28 tackles, two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns), two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. As a wide receiver, he caught 25 passes for 653 yards and six touchdowns.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 3rd in the state of Pennsylvania, 16th among safeties, and 185th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
