Illinois Football Recruiting: Michigan Visits Parrker Westphal

Michigan’s defensive coordinator Greg Mattison visited 2014 cornerback Parrker Westphal on January 31st.

Westphal has offers from fourteen teams. These teams include: Michigan, Cincinnati, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Purdue, and West Virgina.

Out of these fourteen teams, it is projected that the Michigan Wolverines are his favorite.

Westphal is a 6’0″, 186 pound cornerback from Bolingbrook, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Bolingbrook High School.

Bolingbrook made it to the Class 8A Illinois State Playoffs. They lost to Neuqua Valley, 33-44, in their second round game.

As a junior in 2012, Westphal recorded 51 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, three interceptions, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 6th in the state of Illinois, 14th among cornerbacks, and 171st nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
