Illinois Football Recruiting: Florida Visits Austin Roberts

Florida’s tight ends coach Derek Lewis visited 2014 wide receiver/tight end Austin Roberts on February 1st.

Roberts has offers from ten teams. These teams include: Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Miami (FL), Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, and Stanford.

Roberts is a 6’2″, 210 pound receiver from Carmel, Indiana. He is currently a junior at Carmel High School.

The Carmel Greyhounds fell one game short of the Class 5A Indiana State Playoffs. They lost to Warren Central High School, 24-31, in their “play in game.”

As a junior in 2012, Roberts recorded 413 yards on 34 receptions and three touchdowns. He also earned Junior All-State and All-MIC honors in 2012.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 3rd in the state of Indiana and 43rd among wide receivers by 247Sports.
