Illinois Football Recruiting: Brandon Simmons Visits Baylor


2014 safety Brandon Simmons visited the Baylor Bears on February 2nd for their Junior Day.

He has offers from forty-one teams. Some of these teams include: Texas A&M, Washington, LSU, West Virginia, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Boise State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU, Temple, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.

Simmons is a 6’0″, 175 pound safety from Arlington, Texas. He plays for Mansfield Timberview High School.

Mansfield Timberview finished this season with an overall record of 3-7 and did not make the Texas State Playoffs.

On January 5th, Simmons was named to the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 25th in the state of Texas, 17th among safeties, and 196th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
