Illinois Football Recruiting: Tennessee Offers Nic Weishar

2014 tight end Nic Weishar received an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on January 29th. This now brings his total number of offers to fourteen.

The other teams to have offered at him include: Notre Dame, Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Purdue, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin.

Out of these fourteen offers, it is projected that his favorite is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Weishar is a 6’5″, 215 pound tight end from Chicago, Illinois. He is a junior at Marist High School on Chicago’s southside.

Marist made it to the Class 8A Illinois State Playoffs with an overall record of 8-2.

However, they suffered a shocking home playoff loss to Lyons Township, 28-34, in the first round.

As a junior in 2012, Weishar recorded 1,100 receiving yards on 89 catches with five touchdowns.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 8th in the state of Illinois, 6th among tight ends, and 231st nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
