Northwestern Football Recruiting: James Clark Visits Ohio State

2013 wide receiver James Clark could still affect the Illinois Fighting Illini even though it is projected that he has no interest in them. This is because there are two Big Ten teams trying to land the Florida recruit. The two Big Ten teams in the running for Clark are the Northwestern Wildcats and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

On January 25th, Clark officially visited the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He has offers from nineteen teams. These teams include: Florida, Clemson, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, Auburn, Duke, Florida International, Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Penn State, Rutgers, Tennessee, Central Florida, and Vanderbilt.

Out of those nineteen offers, it is projected that Clark is only interested in Florida, Clemson, Northwestern, and Ohio State.

Clark is a 5’10″, 170 pound wide receiver from New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

He played this past season at New Smyrna Beach High School.

New Smyrna Beach made it into the Class 6A Florida State Playoffs. However, they lost to Winter Haven in the first round, 24-20.

As a senior is 2012, Clark caught 49 passes for 1,112 yards and eight touchdowns.

James Clark has all the tools to be successful in college. He is a fast route runner, who has great hands and can rack up yards after catch.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 24th in the state of Florida, 25th among wide receivers, and 174th nationally among 2013 high school recruits by 247Sports.
