Illinois Football Recruiting: North Carolina’s Larry Fedora Visits Da’Shawn Hand

North Carolina’s head coach Larry Fedora visited 2014 recruit Da’Shawn Hand on January 23rd.

Hand has offers from thirty-seven teams.

These teams include: Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Boise State, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, LSU, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan State, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Florida, Stanford, Syracuse, USC, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Out of those thirty-seven offers, it is projected that Hand is heavily interested in Alabama, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech.

Hand is a 6’5″, 247 pound strong-side defensive end from Woodbridge, Virginia. He is currently a junior at Woodbridge High School.

The Woodbridge Vikings made it to the VHSL (6) State Playoffs. However, they lost to the Battlefield Bobcats, 0-17, in the first round.

The five-star recruit is currently ranked 1st in the state of Virginia, 1st among strong-side defensive ends, and 1st nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
