Illinois Football Recruiting: Baylor Offers D.J. Dean

2013 athlete D.J. Dean received an offer from the Baylor Bears on January 23rd. This now brings his total number of offers to fourteen.

Dean originally committed to the Utah Utes, but decommitted from Utah on January 17th.

He has offers from Baylor, Arkansas, North Texas, Illinois, SMU, Texas State, Utah, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas-San Antonio, Tulane, and Washington State.

Out of all of his offers, it is projected that Dean is heavily interested in the Baylor Bears and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Dean is a 5’10″, 180 pound cornerback/quarterback from Newton, Texas. He is currently a senior at Newton High School.

The Newton Eagles made it to the Conference 2A Division 1 Texas State Playoffs.

They made it all the way to the semi-finals, but lost to Cameron Yoe, 22-39.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 159th in the state of Texas and 72nd among athletes by 247Sports.
