Missouri Football Recruiting: Josh Augusta Visits Illinois

2013 defensive tackle Josh Augusta officially visited the Illinois Fighting Illini on January 18th. Augusta plans to announce his college decision on January 20th.

He has offers from sixteen teams. These teams include: Missouri, Illinois, Michigan State, Ole Miss, California, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Purdue, and Texas A&M.

Augusta is a 6’5″, 295 pound defensive lineman from Peoria, Illinois.

He played this past season at Peoria High School.

The Peoria Lions finished the 2012 season with a 5-4 record and did not make the Illinois State Playoffs.

As a senior, Augusta recorded 16 tackles-for-loss and six sacks.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 8th in the state of Illinois, 16th among defensive tackles, and 206th nationally among 2013 high school recruits by 247Sports.
