Illinois Football Recruiting: Michigan State and Ohio State Visits Clifton Garrett

Both the Michigan State Spartans and Ohio State Buckeyes had coaches visit 2014 recruit Clifton Garrett.

Michigan State sent head coach Mark Dantonio and offensive coordinator Dan Roushar while Ohio State sent head coach Urban Meyer.

Garrett has offers from eleven teams. These teams include: Notre Dame, Ohio State, Arizona State, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin.

Garrett is a 6’2″, 215 pound linebacker from Plainfield, Illinois.

He played this past season at Plainfield South High School.

Plainfield South did not make the Illinois State Playoffs. They finished the season with a 4-5 record this past season.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 1st in the state of Illinois, 2nd among outside linebackers, and 39th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
