Illinois Football Recruiting: Nebraska Offers Brandon Simmons

2014 safety Brandon Simmons received an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers on January 9th. This now brings his total number of offers to twenty-six.

The other teams to have offered at him include: Texas A&M, Washington, LSU, West Virginia, Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Boise State, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU, Temple, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.

Simmons is a 6’0″, 175 pound safety from Arlington, Texas. He plays for Mansfield Timberview High School.

Mansfield Timberview finished this season with an overall record of 3-7 and did not make the Texas State Playoffs.

On January 5th, Simmons was named to the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 25th in the state of Texas, 17th among safeties, and 196th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
