Illinois Basketball Recruiting: Florida Watches Jaquan Lyle

On January 8th, the Florida Gators traveled to watch 2014 shooting guard Jaquan Lyle play against Evansville Central in the SIC Conference Tournament.

Lyle currently has offers from eighteen teams. These teams include: Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Georgetown, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Texas, Iowa, Memphis, Miami, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Providence, Purdue, Wake Forest, and Xavier.

Lyle is a 6’5″, 190 pound shooting guard from Evansville, Indiana. He plays at Bosse High School.

Bosse defeated Evansville Central, 76-67, on Tuesday night. Lyle had a huge night as he finished the game with 30 points, 17 rebounds, and three assists.

According to ESPN, Lyle “is a very smooth and very skilled combo guard” and is “terrific at getting in the lane and creating for teammates or finishing himself.”

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd in the state of Indiana, 7th among shooting guards, and 20th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
