Ohio State Football Recruiting: Illinois Offers Lonnie Johnson

The Illinois Fighting Illini offered at Lonnie Johnson on December 17th. After receiving this offer, Johnson’s total number of offers is now at three teams.

Besides Illinois, the other teams to have offered at Lonnie Johnson include the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Bowling Green Falcons.

Johnson is a 6’3″, 190 pound wide receiver from Gary, Indiana. He played this past season at West Side High School.

West Side made it into the Class 4A Indiana State Playoffs with a 6-5 record. However, they lost in the first round to Highland High School, 41-34.

As a junior this season, Johnson recorded 777 yards on 31 receptions and scored 13 receiving touchdowns.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 5th in the state of Indiana and 47th among wide receivers by 247Sports.

Johnson plans to make his decision on December 21st at his West Side High School.
