2013 defensive tackle/tight end Josh Augusta is receiving more attention from the Michigan State Spartans. During the week of November 26th, Augusta was visited by coaches from Missouri, Ole Miss, and Michigan State. Michigan State made another visit to Augusta on December 12th.
The Michigan State coach making the visit was Dan Roushar.
Roushar is in his sixth season as MSU’s offensive coordinator. He was once the offensive coordinator for the Fighting Illini in 2004. Roushar also held jobs at Ball State, Northern Illinois, and Butler.
According to 247Sports, Josh Augusta’s list is narrowed down to three school which includes: Missouri, Illinois, and Michigan State.
It is projected that Missouri is his favorite.
Josh Augusta played for Peoria High School in Peoria, Illinois this season. Peoria and Augusta won five games this season and did not make the IHSA playoffs. Augusta will play in the 2013 Semper Fidelis All-American Game.
The four-star recruit is ranked 8th in the state of Illinois, 12th among defensive tackles, and 190th overall by 247Sports. His best trait is his pursuit to the football. Augusta is an athletic big man that can play on both sides of the football. He also played tight end in high school.
Augusta is set to officially visit Illinois on January 18th, 2013.
