2013 offensive guard David Dawson made his decision about where to play his college career. On Saturday, he committed to the Michigan Wolverines. He choose the Wolverines over offers from Illinois, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, LSU, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, and Wisconsin.
Arizona State, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Eastern Michigan, Houston, Syracuse, Texas Tech, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia were also interested.
Dawson is a 6’4″, 280 pound offensive guard from Detroit, Michigan. He played this past season at Cass Technical High School.
Cass Technical made it to the the state championship of the Division I Michigan State Playoffs. They defeated Catholic Central High School 36-21.
Dawson is a 2013 Under Armour All-American Game selection.
He is highly-regarded for his blocking and physicality.
The four-star offensive guard is ranked 2nd in the state of Michigan, 1st among offensive guard, and 11th in the Midwest region by ESPN.
Michigan has 24 commitments from the class of 2013.
