Illinois Football Recruiting: Cassius Sendish Commits to Kansas

Another domino fell in the 2013 recruiting class on Monday. 2013 cornerback Cassius Sendish choose to play in the Big 12 rather than the Big Ten next season. Sendish decided to soft commit to the Kansas Jayhawks.

He picked the Jayhawks over teams like Colorado State, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, and Kansas State. New Mexico State, South Alabama, Toledo, and Utah also showed interest in his recruitment. The only teams that Sendish visited this season were Indiana (July 24th) and Toledo (November 16th). He also had coaches from Indiana visit him on December 3rd.

Sendish is a 6’2″, 185 pound cornerback from Waldorf, Maryland and is highly-regarded for his instincts and his man coverage ability. He has played his last two seasons at Arizona Western College.

He is ranked 7th in the state of Arizona, 4th among cornerbacks, and 58th nationally among junior college recruits by 247Sports.

Sendish has two years/seasons of eligibility left and cannot be redshirted.

The Jayhawks have two soft commitments and 14 total commitments from the class of 2013.
