Big Ten Basketball What to Watch: Weekend of December 8th

This weekend the Big Ten has 10 games in total scheduled so here’s what to watch. Here are my six things to look at over the weekend.

1) 13 Illinois (9-0), Purdue (4-4), Wisconsin (6-3), and 14 Minnesota (9-1) all hit the road this weekend.

2) There are six Big Ten teams that are ranked nationally going into this weekend. These teams are 1 Indiana, 3 Michigan, 7 Ohio State, 13 Illinois, 14 Minnesota, and 19 Michigan State.

3) 1 Indiana (8-0), 3 Michigan (8-0), and 13 Illinois (9-0) are all looking to stay undefeated this weekend. The Illini will have the toughest opponent as they play 10 Gonzaga.

4) 1 Indiana will be playing the Central Connecticut Blue Devils. Central Connecticut’s sophomore guard Kyle Vinales is first nationally with 25.9 points per game.

5) The 1 Indiana Hoosiers are the highest scoring team in the country at 87.8 a game.

6) The 14 Minnesota Golden Gophers are the 6th highest ranked team in blocks this season. They are averaging 7.6 blocks per game.
