2013 wide receiver James Clark will be visiting the Northwestern Wildcats this weekend. This will be his first visit since his official visit to Purdue on October 12th. However, Clark had coaches from Northwestern, Duke, Florida (2), and Rutgers visit him last week.
Clark currently has offers from fourteen teams. It is projected that Duke and Northwestern are at the head of the pack.
Teams that have offered at him include: Duke, Northwestern, Mississippi State, Purdue, Rutgers, Auburn, Florida International, Illinois, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami, Penn State, Central Florida, and Vanderbilt. Florida had two coaches visit Clark, but has not offered.
According to rivals.com, “the final two weekends in January are the prime official visit timeframe for programs nationwide as they look to entice uncommitted players with a final recruiting pitch before Signing Day.” Rutgers is a team that will host tons of visits after the new year.
The four-star recruit played this past season at New Smyrna Beach Senior High School in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He is currently ranked 25th in the state of Florida, 21st among wide receivers, and 177th nationally among high school recruits by 247Sports.
Clark is highly-regarded for the traits in which he brings to the table. He has great hands, great speed, great route-running ability, and is able to rack up numerous yards after the catch.
