2013 strong-side defensive end Jamone Boyd will be unofficially visiting the Kansas State Wildcats this weekend. This is Boyd’s first visit since visiting Nebraska on October 26th. This weekend, the Wildcats will take on the Texas Longhorns in their last home game of the season. Boyd’s high school teammate, Nick Ramirez, will be visiting KSU as well.
Boyd currently has offers from nine teams, but his list at the moment consists of seven teams.
His Top 7 are Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Tennessee. Arkansas is at the head of the pack with Illinois in second.
KSU will need a strong showing with this recruit due to the fact that they are fourth on his list.
With teams like Kansas and Illinois ahead of them, the Wildcats could possibly move up with a win against Texas. However, winning might not be the only reason for Boyd to attend Kansas State.
This four-star recruit out of Lees Summit, Missouri is currently ranked 4th in the state and 16th among strong-side defensive ends by 247Sports. The 6’4″, 265 pound recruit will not be the only player visiting Kansas State this weekend. Along with teammate Nick Ramirez, Ajahne Brager, Trevor Walker, and Marquel Combs are visiting the Wildcats also.
So far, Boyd does not have visit set at Illinois and has not visited the Illini at all this season.
