After another incredible pitching performance the Illini baseball team defeated Eastern Illinois 10-3. This time it was Brain De La Torriente who pitched seven and a third innings and struck out six while allowing only three runs. First Baseman Jordan Parr continued right where he left off in the previous series against the Hoosiers, leading the Illni offense going 3-3 drawing two walks and scoring twice.

While the Illini did out-hit Eastern Illinois, Eastern Illinois defeated themselves in the field, committing five errors and allowing four un-earned runs to score.

The Illini will face Missouri on Wednesday in Busch Stadium in the second annual Battle of the Busch.
